truphone is a brand new piece of free software that brings VoIP to WiFi enabled mobile phones.

truphone saves users money by routing calls over the internet rather than via traditional mobile operators - thus cutting out the middle man and saving money.

truphone is the world's first software-only network operator - running on standard off the shelf computers, almost entirely using open source technology and internationally-recognised open standards, to which SCN have added some additional custom software modules to provide a seamless mobile VoIP service.

This means free mobiles calls to other truphone users or very cheap calls to anyone else.
 
truphone is currently available on Nokia's E-Series and N80 Internet Edition, with new models supported on release. SCN are developing Truphone on a wide range of brand new smartphones. Check back here or on the ((truphone)) web site for new releases.
